Using Easy2Seal®

- First read the instructions for use carefully in order to achieve a good result.

Product description

- EasySeal® is a watertight, fissure-bridging, elastic sealant adhesive that ensures optimum adhesion in your EasyDrain®.

Contents of your Easy2Seal® set

- 900 gr EasySeal® (to be mixed with 0,24 litres of water)

Instructions for use

- Use masking tape to fix the edge of the Easy Drain® 10 mm from the top.

- Roughen the Easy Drain® underneath and on the sides using coarse sandpaper and remove all grease – using ammonia, for example.

- Take ½ to ¾ of a cup of EasySeal® out of the packaging and mix it in a clean bucket with a little water until it becomes a smooth spreadable paste. This is the amount of EasySeal® required for pre-treatment of the Easy Drain®.

- Use the trowel to apply a layer of EasySeal® approx. 1 mm thick on the underside and on the sides of Easy Drain®. Drying time is approx. 2 hours.

- Note: Do not treat the siphon component with EasySeal®.

- Once it is sufficiently dry, you can continue installing the Easy Drain®.

- Once the Easy Drain® is in place, but before you start tiling! Take the rest of the EasySeal® out of the packaging. You can now mix this with water to make a smooth spreadable paste. Before applying the EasySeal®, ensure that the surface is dust-free and that any substances likely to make adhesion difficult have been removed. If necessary, you can now dampen the substrate so that it is matt/bright. EasySeal® can also be used ‘wet in wet’.

- Now spread the EasySeal® in a layer approx. 1-2 mm thick up to approx. 100 mm around the Easy Drain®. Ensure that there is a seamless joint around and up against the Easy Drain®. Do not forget to spread EasySeal® on the sides, up to the masking tape (can be walked on after approx. 2 hours).

EasySeal® product characteristics

- Working temperature between +5 ¬° C and max. +25 ° C

- Maximum working time is 50 minutes at +23 ° C and 50% relative humidity

- Mixing proportions: 0,24 litres of water per 900 gr EasySeal®

- Curing time is 3 to 5 minutes

- Can be walked on after approx. 2 hours

- Fully load-bearing after approx. 24 hours

- Fissure bridging > 0,75 mm
